The Director-General of the Regional Center for Agricultural Reform presents an award to the Director-General of the National Center for Agricultural Research NARC.

As part of enhancing the fruitful cooperation between the Regional Center for Agricultural Reform and Rural Development in the Near East and local institutions involved in agricultural sector development, the Director-General of the Regional Center, Dr. Muwafaq AL-Serhan, honored the Director-General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, Dr. Khaled Abu Hammour. This recognition came in appreciation of his valuable contributions to the success of training programs, as well as his active role, alongside the research staff, in supporting joint cooperation and implementing the Regional Center’s projects that focus on training and technical needs.

For his part, Dr. Khaled Abu Hammour expressed his deep gratitude for this initiative, emphasizing that this collaboration is in line with the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Khaled Al-Hunaifat, and the implementation of the National Sustainable Development Plan. He highlighted that strengthening the capabilities of researchers, engineers, and farmers is a fundamental pillar in enhancing Jordan’s food security and achieving the goals of the agricultural sector.

During the event, Dr. Muwafaq AL-Serhan praised the pioneering role of the National Center for Agricultural Research, describing it as a strategic partner in the success of training programs aimed at empowering various groups working in the agricultural sector. He confirmed that the National Center is one of the main partners contributing to the implementation of the Regional Center’s vision and achieving its objectives, particularly in the areas of empowering research and engineering staff and farmers.

Dr. Al-Sarhan concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of continuing this effective partnership, which contributes to advancing sustainable agricultural development and strengthening efforts to develop the agricultural sector and achieve food security in the region.
